The organization and prioritization of a student’s time, materials, and workload is equally important, increasingly as he or she progresses through school. Mastering discipline and honing executive function becomes just as critical as the mastery of the subjects themselves. Many students have come to us with perceived difficulty in a specific subject area, but after an initial session, we realize that a lack of organization/processes and discipline are to blame. Too often, brilliant minds cannot reach their academic potential when these cognitive areas remain under-developed, especially in students with ADD/ADHD.
